Safety Tips For Kids On Halloween

There are so many things to be afraid on Halloween except for ghost and monsters. The possibility of accidents increases during halloween because of children’s trick-or-treating. So on Halloween kids are more prone to accidents and injuries. Generally everybody is so excited about Halloween that they forget to be careful at that time. There are many ways to avoid these dangers. Everybody should be aware of potential Halloween hazards and take precautions to eliminate them. Here are some tips on child safety during this festival.

 
Kids should always be in adult supervision, especially at the time of trick-or-treat. If your kid is old enough to trick-or-treat then advise him to stay in a group.
 
Always advise your child to pick out or make a costume that will be safe. Their Halloween costumes should be flame retardant.
 
If you are decorating your house with jack-o-lanterns on Halloween then place them out of the way so that kid’s costumes won’t accidentally be set on fire.
 
Don’t give your child anything like a sharp knife, and other sharp tools such as a scythe etc. It’s better to give something which has smooth and flexible tips and not cause any injury if fallen on.
 
Always designate a route before your kids begin trick-or-treating, and make sure they stick to it.
 
When your kids have trick-or-treat, then they should be in areas where there are a lot of people around. Kids should avoid taking short-cuts through alleys and parking areas.
 
You should advise your child that if he is going visit houses on Halloween then enter only those houses which have some Halloween decorations on the porch or those with their lights on.
 
Always dress your kids in some bright color costume so that everybody can see them in the dark.
